Bay Area Musicals! will hold its fourth annual benefit fundraiser, A Twist of Limelight, on Monday, May 20th, 2019 in San Francisco at the Alcazar Theater. This year we are pleased to have Tony nominee Paul Alexander Nolan (Bright Star, Escape to Margaritaville, Once, Chicago, Doctor Zhivago, Daddy Long Legs, Jesus Christ Superstar). Proceeds from the benefit support upcoming productions by Bay Area Musicals!
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception. During this time, guests will be given a chance to win raffle prizes, as well as participate in the silent auction. Immediately after, Matthew McCoy – Bay Area Musicals’ Founder and Artistic Director – will be giving a preview of the FIFTH ANNIVERSARY season with the help of local performers. There will also be a live auction featuring one-of-a-kind items including remote vacation destinations, dinner & theater packages, and a more. Act two will consist of a solo concert by Broadway star PAUL ALEXANDER NOLAN.

Paul is a renowned Canadian actor who recently starred in Jeremy O. Harris’ critically acclaimed Slave Play at New York Theatre Workshop. He played the lead on Broadway in Escape to Margaritaville; he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for starring in Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s Broadway musical, Bright Star; and he was an Outer Critics Circle nominee for the Broadway musical, Doctor Zhivago. Paul's Broadway career began with his debut in Jesus Christ Superstar, and he also starred in Once and as Billy Flynn in Chicago. He has appeared on “The Code”, “Madam Secretary” and “Instinct” for CBS, and he recently shot the indie film, The Scottish Play. Additional credits include the Off-Broadway world premiere and cast album of Daddy Long Legs; and The Who’s Tommy, West Side Story and As You Like It at the Stratford Festival.
