How do I see a show?


1) ONLINE: Purchase single tickets to the entire 2017/2018 season HERE.  

2) BY PHONE: Call the box office anytime at 415.340.2207.  If you don't get an answer, please leave a voicemail and we will return your call as soon as we can.  ***Please know our box office staff works five hours a week until one month prior to the opening of every show. 

3) BY EMAIL: Send a request for tickets to Alexia, our Patron Services Manager, at  If you need assistance or anything else, please feel free to use our box office email and Alexia will be happy to assist you. 

4) IN PERSON:  The box office is open one hour before each performance for will call and day of show tickets.  We accept VISA and MASTERCARD.  Cash is also accepted. 

5) 3RD PARTY TICKETS:  If you bought your three-show pack age or single ticket through a third party (Goldstar, Groupon, etc) and was unable to select a date for Will-Call at the time of purchase, please email the box office at with your email, address, name on voucher, voucher number(s), date(s) requested for all show(s), if you want your tickets to be emailed or held at will-call, and the supplier of your voucher. Please allow time to process these requests as our box office personnel only works 5 hours a week. 




REGULAR RUN: Bay Area Musicals operates on a dynamic pricing system that fluctuates based on demand. No price is guaranteed at the time of viewing, only at the time of purchase.  In staying true with our mission tickets in the side circle will always be available for $35.  For most performances, tickets run $35 for Side Circle, $50 for Rear Circle, and $65 for Front Circle. 


PAY WHAT YOU CAN: On select performances, listed on the individual show page, we offer tickets on a sliding scale of $15-$20.  These tickets are not guaranteed and can only be purchased at the door, one hour prior to the show.  Cash only. Seats are chosen for you and based on availability.  If the performance is sold out, PWYC tickets will not be available. 

There is a $3.00 per-order box office fee for ticket orders placed by phone, mail, or online. The ticket price is based on availability for each specific performance. Generally, buying early will ensure you the best price.

Student Rush Tickets are available at the box office one half-hour before curtain, are subject to availability and cash only.

Tickets are considered used once curtain has gone up.  Exchanges must be completed a minimum of 2 hours before curtain.

4) 42nd Street and Hunchback of Notre Dame will be held at the Alcazar Theatre, 650 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA.  The Wedding Singer will be held at the Victoria Theater, 2961 16th Street, San Francisco, CA. 

5) Bay Area Musicals is wheelchair accessible. Please book ahead to ensure seating for anyone with mobility needs.


1) Single tickets purchased online are sent as e-tickets unless otherwise noted to be held at Will-Call. 

2) Single ticket buyers can make ticket exchanges for a $10 fee per ticket (plus price difference, if any). The exchange must be completed during regular box office hours at least 48 hours before the original date. 

3) Tickets can only be exchanged for another performance of the same production.

4) There are no refunds under any circumstances. 

30 UNDER 30 NIGHT (Every Friday Performance)

If you are under 30 years of age, you can purchase tickets at half off the regular price. ID required, 1 ticket per ID.  


Bring a student I.D. at least a half-hour to curtain to the box office and pay only $20 on any remaining tickets for that performance only.  Cash only. Save that beer money for another night.  Bring a friend, bring a date, bring whoever you want; just come on down and experience musical theatre in San Francisco!

Groups of 20 or more can enjoy a special discounted group rate of $10 off general admission ticket prices and groups of 10 - 19 get $5 off general admission ticket prices. Please contact us at to find out more and set up your event.
